IN-PERSON Care Management Collaborative (CMC): Cultural Awareness and Health Literacy

Practice managers and billers are encouraged to participate in program update segment of the training. Topic: Cultural Awareness and Health Literacy Objectives: Practice motivational interviewing skills to foster and engage patients of various cultures and health literacy levels. Discuss documentation of care management services and related coding guidelines. Discuss the impact of health literacy and how it impacts patients’ health care. Discuss the impact of different cultures and how it impacts patients’ health care. Review program updates, resources, and data to support patient engagement in care management.
