Objectives: Define Motivational Interviewing (MI) Explore the use of MI for the busy health professional Demonstrate how MI leads into Brief Action Planning (BAP) Practice using MI and Brief Action Planning tools and techniques Complete the session with new ideas about how to incorporate MI into daily practice to improve self-management goals of patient to improve patient outcomes. CONTINUING EDUCATION APPROVAL: This activity has been submitted to the Wisconsin Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours.
